The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) in spanish approved on Tuesday a line of credit for 200 million dollars to strengthen the position and liquidity management capacity of the Central Bank of Honduras.

“To strenghten the position and liquidity management capacity of Honduras in the context of the COVID-19 crisis” said the Central American institution in an official statement.

The credit line is part of the action plan of the Emergency Support and Preparedness Program for COVID-19, and the economic reactivation in the region that few weeks ago was approved by the BCIE.
