The Bolivian government ordered the closure of three ministries and two of its embassies in Nicaragua and Iran, two countries known to be friends of former President Evo Morales; the reason reportedly is to save resources.

«An important point for the economy is that the government knows how to save, and that is why we have ordered the closure of three ministries and two embassies,» said President Jeanine Áñez.

The ministries closed are Culture and Sports, which will become part of the Education Ministry, and Communication, which will return to the Presidency’s portfolio.
