Colombia extends confinement until May 31st

The South American country will extend the isolation measures against the pandemic until the end of May, and then initiate a gradual economic reactivation process.

This was announced by President Ivan Duque through his daily broadcast, where he also said that the country had to remain in a health emergency state until August 31st, in order to contain the spread of the virus.

«The mandatory preventive isolation, exactly as we have it today, will be extended until May 31st,» said the President of Colombia.
