The Minister of Health, Hugo Monroy, who provided the updates on the health crisis, said that by carrying out 1,721 tests nationwide, 354 new cases of COVID-19 were detected.

Those detected by the tests, with a high percentage of accuracy, are 143 women and 211 men. He also confirmed that 83 Guatemalans have recovered and are now out of danger.

«We regret the death of 17 patients -13 men and 4 women. Men between the ages of 26 and 74 and women between 57 and 78. Our sincere condolences to the families,» said the Guatemalan government official.
