The Inter-American Development Bank reported this week that it has approved a $50 million loan to El Salvador to be used to «mitigate the direct and indirect effects of COVID-19.»

El Salvador reports 51 deaths from Coronavirus, 1,475 active cases and 1,179 recovered patients, according to official information provided by the government.

The Central American country remains in confinement and besides fighting the battle against COVID-19, now faces the effects of Tropical Storm Amanda.
