At least ten more people in Mexico died from drinking alcohol adulterated with methanol, bringing the death toll to 18, authorities reported.

Adulterated alcohol has killed more than 100 people since the COVID-19 began.

The government of the southern state of Guerrero said the latest 18 deaths occurred in and around the municipality of Tlapa de Comonfort after residents drank a tequila-like drink of a little-known brand.
