The National University of El Salvador conducted a study from its Mathematical Modeling Center, which estimates the highest peak of infections at the end of May.

The projection, which takes into account the increased amount of testing done by the government, estimates that the curve would start to flatten out in June, but it would be until August, when the country would show a significant decline.

For this study, the Modeling Center took into account different variables ranging from, the diagnosis of the first case, the accumulated number of confirmed cases until the date of the study, the number of elapsed days since the first confirmed case and the expected maximum number of confirmed cases.
