Half of the workforce, around 1,600 million workers will be at risk of loosing their incomes due to the COVID-19, warned the International Labour Organization.

The main reason of this threat is the rapid loss of hours of work and jobs, due to the confinement that all countries in the world had to implement.

The projection was released in the “ILO Monitor: COVID-19 and the world work. Third Edition” which forecasts that the loss of hours worked during the second quarter of 2020, compared to last year, will be much higher and will affect all regions of the world.
