Uruguay is an atypical case in the world crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is the only country in the Americas that did not decree a total quarantine due to the virus, and to date it is on its way to normality.

This week the South American country began its process of reactivation and return to normal activities, with 738 cases detected, 20 deaths and 579 recovered from COVID-19.

In the middle of a region hit by the pandemic, Uruguay’s infection curve has flattened out, the lethality of the virus is low, and the number of people infected is decreasing every day.
