The Venezuelan parliamentary opposition urged governments around the world to label the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) as «terrorist.

The request is based on the official party’s relationship with Iran, a relationship that Nicolas Maduro maintains in a hasty manner.

The request was made by the Foreign Policy Committee of the National Congress (AN Parliament), which has an opposition majority, the commission reported that Iran’s support » of terrorist and extremist groups in Venezuela with weapons» is a violation of UN provisions.
